Spiritual Ramblings

 When I was young, about 15 or 16, I had had a very bad week. The bullies at school had several goes at me and my mother was her usual verbally abusive self. So some how I had managed to spend the weekend at a friends house, and he lived in the middle of Ocala National Forest. To vent my anger I decided I would go for a run, more like a mad dash thru the brush. After walking about a mile. Thinking about everything that had gone wrong. Letting the anger build up inside me. I pointed myself in a direction off the beaten path and I began to run, using my anger to fuel me. Thru brush, briars, and a stand of scrub oak, I pushed my way thru it all, not caring about the scratches and snags. I just ran. As I came to a clearing, still running as fast as I could, I felt a presence beside me, on my right. I looked and I saw a pair of goat legs, and I thought "Pan?" My eyes traveled up to a face that was grinning at me, only instead of goat horns, he had antlers on top of his head. Antle...

 I tend to have tons of thoughts on spirituality with no means to express them. So here I will begin this blog so I might share some of my insight and, dare I say, wisdom. Studying different religions and cultures has been my favorite hobby since I was 12(I'm 60 now) when I discovered Greek mythology. Many of these religions I have practiced at one time or another. Wicca, Shamanism, Hinduism, and of course, Druidry to name a few. The first time I heard about Druids I knew that was for me. Right now I'm starting courses given by the New Order of Druids, going back to my spiritual roots to get a refresher. I have studied many other religions, sometimes I have even been lucky enough to sit down and talk with practitioners of those faiths. I am always up for learning more, I love learning, so if you are the follower of some little known religion or sect please feel free to contact me. It is my whole hearted belief that we should all try to open our minds and learn from each other.
